Early Life and Education 

Suchitra Pillai was born on August 27th, 1970. Her birthplace is in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. Suchitra Pillai went to school at St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Mumbai. She has graduated in electronic engineering from the Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering, Bandra (West), Mumbai. She chose a career in arts over engineering.

Career 

Suchitra is a very well-known and amazing actress in the industry. She has a great screen presence. Her most popular projects include Dil Chahta Hain, Fashion and Page 3, Pyaar Ke Side Effects and, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. 

In Hollywood, she has worked in three films: The Other Side of the Door, and The Valley, Suchitra is known for her role as Roopa Kumar for which she won two international best actress awards. Her film Arranged Love, which will be released in 2023.

Suchitra Pillai made her acting debut with a French film titled Le Prix d`une Femme. She went on to work in the English film Guru in Seven after that. With the film Everybody Says I'm Fine and Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai she made her Hindi film debut.

She was part of the television show Hip Hip Hurray that was aired on Zee TV which was popular back then.
