Atre made her acting debut in the show Kasautii Zindagii Kay, directed by Ekta Kapoor, in the role of Palchinn Basu. She achieved significant acclaim and accolades for her portrayal of the main character, Kasturi, in Kapoor's show Kasturi (2007-09), Preeti in the Indian Drama series Do Hanson Ka Jodaa (2009-2010), and Angoori Manmohan Tiwari in the Hindi sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! (2016-present), which holds the record of being one of the most persistent Indian comedy sitcoms.
