The story begins with Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) a 40-year-old man on his way to Goa while pretending to go to Rameswaram to immerse his grandfather's ashes in the sea. During the train journey, Rahul meets a South Indian girl named Meenamma who is running away from her father, who is a feared Don. Things take a turn when they end up in her father's territory.
