Life Story

Sushant Mishra has shown a keen interest in cricket from a young age, playing with friends in Shalimar Bagh Colony in Pundag, Ranchi. Originating from Tumol village in the Darbhanga district of Bihar, his family moved to Ranchi for a better career. Motivated by India's victory in the 2011 World Cup, he chose to follow cricket as a serious career. He began his training with coaches Satyam Roy and Shashikant Pathak, who guided him towards specializing in fast bowling.

Sushant Mishra attended SRDAV Public School in Pundag, Ranchi, and later enrolled in Sharda University, Delhi. Initially, he was pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Honours before switching to BA Sociology Honours.

Sushant Mishra made his List-A debut on December 8, 2021, for Jharkhand in the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy and his Ranji debut on February 17, 2022. Sushant also played in the IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2020, Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2022, and was signed by Gujarat Titans in 2024.

Awards and Achievement

In the BCCI's one-day tournaments in 2018-19, he was the highest wicket-taker for Jharkhand Under-23 with 18 wickets in 7 matches. He also represented India in the Under-19 World Cup in 2020, taking 7 wickets in 5 matches.
