Bela has worked with several different music directors, including Ilayaraja, A. R. Rahman, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Ajay-Atul, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Lalit Pandit, M. M. Keeravaani, and Sohail Sen.

 She went on to win the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2014 for her performance of "Khurkhura" at the 61st National Film Awards. Bela's depiction of lavnis in the film Natarang earned her significant appreciation. 

Over time, her performances of "Apsara Aali" and "Vajle ki Bara" become iconic classics. She appeared alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Ashutosh Gowariker's epic historical film Jodhaa Akbar. She subsequently went on to offer her voice to Priyanka Chopra in the film What's Your Rashee?, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. 

In 2013, she was cast as Kangana Ranaut's lone voice in the musical drama Rajjo. The same year, she won a National Award for her performance in Khurkhura for the film Tuhya Dharma Koncha. 

Bela Shende then collaborated with A. R. Rahman on three separate songs in the Tamil film Kaaviya Thalaivan (2014 film), its Malayalam translation Pradhinayagan, and its Telugu adaptation Premaalayam.

In 2016, she performed with Arijit Singh, A.R. Rahman, and Sanah Moidutty on the title song for the film Mohenjo Daro. A.R. Rahman composed the song, while Javed Akhtar wrote the lyrics.

Tejas Chavan composed and directed the song "Marathi Breathless" from the album Kanherichi Phule. The CD got the Chitra Padarpan Puraskar for the best music album.

She has won numerous other accolades like the Marathi Mirch Awards, Best Playback Singer Award, RAPA National Award, IMI ZEE Sangeet awards, etc. She has become a well-known figure in the industry. Her fans relish and adore the content she creates.
