Bagchi later collaborated with Aditya Dev as a music producer on the song Meherbani, composed and written by Arko Pravo Mukherjee for the 2014 film The Shaukeens. Bagchi and lyricist Vayu Srivastava collaborated on the track Oopar Oopar Renn De. 

Anurag Kashyap loved it and introduced the couple to Ravi Adhikari, a close relative of Tanu Weds Manu Returns director Aanand L. Rai. The pair then made their Bollywood debut with the song Banno. Prior to composing for films, he composed and orchestrated music for television programs like Thapki...Pyar Ki, among others. Bagchi made his solo debut in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon with the song Samandar.

Bagchi's debut song for Machine was released in 2017. Dr. Zeus contributed a dance number to the CD. Despite the film's box office failure, songs such as Cheez Badi have received millions of views on YouTube. In the same year, he and Vayu collaborated on the music record for the film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.

Bagchi's first remake song, Humma Humma, from the 2017 film Ok Jaanu, was originally panned but eventually received over 200 million views on YouTube. The next year, he replicated other great songs such as Tamma Tamma, Mere Rashke Qamar, Cheez Badi, and others.

 He went on to win the Zee Cine Award for Song of the Year for his song Baarish from Half Girlfriend, as well as the 2018 IIFA Award for Best Music Director for his work on the film Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Kanha by Tanishk-Vayu received several nominations, and vocalist Shashaa Tirupati won one of them.

Bagchi collaborated with DJ Chetas-Lijo George and JAM8 to create the soundtrack record for the film Loveyatri in 2018. Bagchi debuted in Telugu with the song "Adbhutam" from the film Lover. He and Vayu collaborated on the new Red FM Jingle, which features Rajnigandha Shekhawat's voice and lyrics penned by Vayu.

 He also remade two songs that year: Dilbar from Satyamev Jayate, which gained 20 million views on YouTube in its first 24 hours, and Aankh Maarey from Simmba, which became the party anthem of 2018-19 New Year's Eve celebrations. In 2021, Aankh Maarey will have received 1 billion views. Others include Sanu Ek Pal Chain, Gali Gali, Naam Hai Mera, and so forth. 

He also worked with Himesh Reshammiya on a remake of Reshammiya's popular song Aashiq Banaya Apne in Hate Story 4, with Neha Kakkar providing additional vocals. He also created the soundtrack CD for Simmba, as well as one of the film's two themes. S. Thaman composed the other theme, while DJ Chetas-Lijo George wrote one of the album's songs, Mera Wala Dance.
