Sumit Antil began to win medals as a result of his constant performance, and in 2019, Sumit Antil won his first silver medal at the World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai, breaking his own record by throwing the javelin 62.88 meters. GoSports Foundation decided to induct Sumit Antil into their Para Champions Program in 2019 after witnessing his success in numerous tournaments.
Sumit Antil won a gold medal in the men's javelin throw F64 category at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. At the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Italy, he broke the world record in the F64 category en route to winning the Silver medal in the Combined Event. Sumit Antil won the gold medal with a World Record throw of 68.55m in javelin throw F64 at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
In Patiala, Sumit Antil competed in the able-bodied Indian Grand Prix series, finishing sixth with a best throw of 66.43 meters. He competed against Neeraj Chopra, an Indian Olympian.
