Raghu Ram is an Indian actor and TV producer who was born on April 15, 1975. At MTV India, he was a senior managing producer. On MTV Roadies, MTV Dropout Pvt Ltd, and MTV Splitsvilla, he was an anchor and director. Rajiv Lakshman is his twin brother, and the two of them worked together on MTV Roadies. Monozygotic Solutions Pvt. Ltd. was the name of the brothers' new content company when it opened in 2014.

Career

At MTV India, Raghu Ram started his work as a supervisor for shows like MTV Love Line with VJs Malaika Arora and Cyrus Broacha. He also led MTV Select and the first few seasons of MTV Super Select with VJ Nikhil Chinapa.

Ram participated on the first season of the reality TV show Indian Idol in 2004. He was judged by Anu Malik, Farah Khan, and Sonu Nigam. He was turned down because he couldn't sing well and had a bad attitude. Later, in his autobiography, he wrote that picking a fight with the judges was just a joke that he played on the idea of a coworker, who were moderators at the time.

The concept for MTV Roadies was made by Nikhil J. Alva, who started Miditech Studios. The first season of the show aired in 2003. The show's creator, Nikhil J. Alva, saw Roadies as a way to bring Indian youth together through acts of kindness and service as they went around India. His dream was for the show to make a new crop of youth icons. In fact, Season 1's Rannvijay Singha and Season 2's Aayushman Khurana proved the format's makers' original idea. Those days, Raghu Ram and Rajiv Lakshman worked as Associate Producers at Miditech Studios. As the show's success grew, MTV brought its production in-house and gave it to Raghu Ram and Rajiv Lakshman, who were already working for MTV as anchors and producers. Suddenly, the show went from its original idea of doing good for society to being rude, angry, and direct. The show got more viewers, but it seemed to lose its heart. At first, the show was called MTV: Find The Road, and the show's top producers were not sure what to think of it. After its second season, it became more famous, and it ended up being the longest-running reality show on Indian TV. Ram later became the senior supervising producer of MTV India and the executive producer of Roadies and MTV Splitsvilla, a reality show he started in 2008.

Ram said in 2014 that he would no longer be working with Roadies after season X2. He had been working with the show for 11 years. In a tweet, he said, "Roadies is happening." I'm not going to do it, though. It's over for me. Done with it. It's also about time.

Ram began a web series called A.I.SHA My Virtual Girlfriend in April 2016 on the online content site Arre. It was a webcam fiction show.

In July 2017, Ram started the reality show Dropout Pvt Ltd. On the show, contestants do jobs to show how good they are at business and create a new company. He was also in the controversial movie AIB knockout with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor from Bollywood, the famous stand-up comedy group AIB, the critic Rajeev Masand, Aditi Mittal, and Abish Mathew. Karan Johar, a Bollywood film director, was in charge of it.

Ram and his brother have both been on the Colours TV laughter show comedy Nights Bachao. In addition, Raghu Ram appeared in the comedy show Entertainment Ki Raat. 

It was 2019 and Ram and his brother Rajiv were in the Amazon Prime show "Skulls and Roses." According to the reviews, the show wasn't good, so there was no second season.

Ram and his brother have been in a few Bollywood films. In 2010, they were in Tees Maar Khan with Akshay Kumar as the Johari brothers, but the movie didn't do well at the box office. In the same year, Ram was also in the movie Jhoota Hi Sahi with John Abraham. Critics liked the way he played his parts. The song "Manmani" put him in the running for the Best Singer Award at the GIMA Awards 2012.He was in the Tamil movie "Doctor" too.
