Owner of a gym in Chandigarh and bodybuilder Manvinder "Manu" Munjal are getting ready for the annual "G.O.A.T." tournament. Sadly, until Zumba instructor Maanvi Brar enters the gym, his gym struggles to draw customers. After that, things start to improve financially. Maanvi falls in love with Manu, and just before their first kiss, she tells him she has something to tell him. Manu starts having sex with her despite his refusal to listen to her. They both reach climax as she continues, despite her initial reluctance. They later start having sexual intercourse.
Maanvi is popular with Manu's family as well, and his sisters encourage him to wed her. Maanvi admits she is a trans woman as Manu eventually declares his desire to marry her. Manu declares that he would exact revenge since he is outraged and bewildered. He always believes that he "had had sex with a man," which makes him feel humiliated with himself. He is even more enraged by his friends' disparaging remarks about Maanvi. They are still in love with one another despite their disagreement.
The release date of the movie Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is 10 December 2021.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui performed average and the IMDb rating of the movie is 6.8 out of 10. People have written mixed reviews. One of the users wrote, ‘When a contentious topic is handled compassionately by the filmmakers, the message always connects with the target audience, as this film illustrates well in this case. Abhishek Kapoor and the scriptwriters deserve heartfelt praise for having the courage even to contemplate handling such a tough subject in a popular picture, as well as the editor and director of photography for their meticulous work.
As for Ayushmaan, we have no words to express our gratitude for another outstanding performance in an environment that most commercial stars would never contemplate stepping foot inside. Congratulations, boss, for not just being an outstanding actor but also for being bold in your decisions. He is, without a doubt, the most accomplished actor of our age. In contrast, Vani Kapoor is a total surprise; she is very smooth and gentle in her demeanor, and she engages with the audience on a deeply emotional level. Who knew where Vani had been hidden all these time? Without question, this is her most accomplished performance yet. It is true that there are some clichés tossed in here and there, but these can be readily forgiven because of the sheer chutzpah of the subject matter itself. Seeing such films being attempted in Bollywood gives me a tremendous deal of joy, and I am especially thrilled when these films are successful. Guys, you have my admiration.’
