Vidyadhar Joshi was born to a Marathi Brahmin family on June 6, 1965, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He made his acting debut in the 2004 Marathi movie Chakwa, playing the part of Chaudhari. In the Marathi movie Me Shivajiraj Bhosale Boltey, he portrayed Gosalia in 2009. Joshi received the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 2011 Maharashtrian State Film Awards ceremony for the Marathi movie Arjuna.

He was a contestant in Season 2 of Big Boss Marathi in 2019. He has appeared in numerous Marathi movies, including Befaan, Aata Baaz, and Panghrun.
