Sumeet Raghavan is an accomplished Indian actor who has built a name for himself in the entertainment world. On April 22, 1971, he was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Sumeet's path in the acting profession has been determined by his enthusiasm, dedication, and versatility.

He is well-known for his parts in Wagle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedi Naye Kissey, Hudd Kar Di, Sarabhai versus Sarabhai, Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo, Badi Doooor Se Aaye Hai, Sarabhai against Sarabhai, and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai: Take 2. As a kid actor, he played Sudama in B. R. Chopra's Mahabharat series.

Career

In 1983, Sumeet debuted on television with the show Faster Fene. Then he appeared in the epic drama Mahabharat, which aired on Doordarshan. He played the character of young Sudama in the serial. During his early career, he appeared in shows such as Hudd Kar Di, Sanjivani - A Medical Boon, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, and others. He later appeared in the television serial Sarabhai vs Sarabhai alongside Rupa Ganguly.

This show helped him attain enormous popularity. In 2009, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Comic Role for his performance as Rajdip Yagnik in the television series Ghar Ki Baat Hai. Following that, he appeared as Apoorv Shah in the show Sajan Re Jhut Mat Bolo. In addition, he hosted a few shows and was named Best Anchor at the Indian Television Academy Awards.

He appeared as a participant in the reality show Nautanki: The Comedy Theatre in 2013. In 2016, he hosted Raina Beet Jaye-Jashn, and in 2018, he hosted India Ke Mast Kalandar. He starred in the web series Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Take 2 in 2017. He also appeared in a few Bollywood films, including My Name Is Khan, Firaaq, Holiday, Ghoom, U Me Aur Hum, and others. In addition, he dubbed a few Hollywood films in Hindi, including Blue Streak, Rush Hour 2, Bad Boys 2, and others.
