Biography

Rithvik Dhanjani, born on 5 November 1988, is well-known for his work as an actor, anchor, dancer, and host. Rithvik established himself in the television business after making his debut on one of the prominent programmes Pavitra Rishta. The actor is known for wearing many hats, including Nach Baliye Season 6 and I Can Do That, a stunt-based reality show.

Childhood and Education

Rithvik was born in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. He attended school in Dubai and graduated from City of London College in London. In college, he dabbled in acting, modelling, and presenting events. Dhanjani thereafter became active in theatre for two and a half years. After working in theatre and events in Dubai, he relocated to Mumbai to pursue a career as an actor. Before entering the television profession, he completed an acting degree at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Institute.

Family

Rithvik’s Sindhi family relocated to Dubai shortly after he was born. Heena Dhanjani is his younger sister. While his mother’s name is still unknown, his father’s name is Chandra Prakash Dhanjani. 

Relationship

Rithvik met actress Asha Negi on the set of Pavitra Rishta in 2011, and they later began dating. Dhanjani and Negi split up in May 2020, after dating for 7 years.

Career

Rithvik began his acting career in 2009 with a cameo in Bandini as Parth, a nasty character. From 2009 to 2010, he played the supporting role of Prithvi Pundir in Bairi Piya and Partho Rawal in Tere Liye. From 2010 to 2011, he played the antagonist, Jay Khurana, who was a werewolf in love with Sukirti Kandpal's character in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. In 2011, he made his cinematic debut as Akash in Jo Hum Chahein. The film earned mixed to unfavourable reviews and failed at the box office. He also appeared as Ali in the short film Aftermath. Rithvik entered Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 as a wild card entry in June 2012 and finished as the second runner up. Rithvik's depiction of Arjun Digvijay Kirloskar in Balaji Telefilms' Pavitra Rishta, starring Asha Negi, proved to be a watershed moment in his career. From 2011 to 2014, he played the role. Dhanjani's performance earned him an Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, as well as several other nominations.

He co-hosted India's Best Dramebaaz with Ragini Khanna in 2013.He hosted two seasons of Yeh Hai Aashiqui from 2013 to 2015, which earned him even more recognition. In an episode of Yeh hai Aashiqui in 2013, he played Kabir opposite Mihika Verma. In the final episode of Season 1, he and Negi reprised their love tale in 2015. The same year, he hosted India's Best Dramebaaz (Season 2). Pyaar Ki Yeh Kahani Suno, So You Think You Can Dance, Man Vs. Job, and Super Dancer (Chapter 1) were among the four shows he hosted in 2016. Dhanjani made his web debut in 2016 with I Don't Watch TV. In 2017, he first presented Aye Zindagi before competing in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 and finishing in seventh place. He also took part in Lip Sing Battle. He hosted Super Dancer (Chapter 2), for which he received a Gold Award for Best Anchor, and Rasoi Ki Jung Mummyon Ke Sung from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, he presented India's Next Superstars and India's Got Talent 8.

In Galti Se Mis-Tech, he played Shivam Chaturvedi opposite Anita Hassanandani. It garnered positive feedback. In 2018, he played Mayank in XXX. From 2018 to 2019, he hosted Super Dancer Chapter 3. In 2020, Rithvik appeared on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi - Made in India. He finished seventh and left the programme in the middle.He appeared as a presenter in Lockdown Rishtey the same year. He later participated as a panellist on Ladies vs. Gentlemen. He hosted Super Dancer in 2021 (Chapter 4). In the 2021 series Cartel, he played Abhay Angre opposite Monica Dogra. The Times of India lauded his portrayal, writing, Rithvik Dhanjani's character arc is intriguing, and he shines through the various emotions his character displays. Dhanjani played Tarun opposite Tridha Choudhury in the short film Arranged in 2022. He hosted the Global Excellence Awards and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne the same year.

Pavitra Rishta is a 2009 Indian soap opera that aired on Zed TV from 1 June 2009 to 25 October 2014. It was created by Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms. It is a remake of the Tamil television show Thirumathi Selvam. After Rajput's death in late 2018, and again in 2020, the programme was replayed on Zee TV. They decided to bring a new series after this replay achieved good ratings. Pavitra Rishta - It's Never Too Late premiered on Zee5 on September 15, 2021, with Ankita Lokhande continuing her role as Archana and Shaheer Sheikh as Manav. Yeh Hai Aashiqui is an Indian Hindi-language television romantic anthology series that debuted on Bindass on August 25, 2013. It features dramatisations of Vikas Gupta's real-life love tales. The show ended after four seasons and 153 episodes on August 7, 2016. Abhiruchi Chand wrote the series' title track, which was composed by Abhishek Arora. Mohit Chauhan and Neeti Mohan perform the title song for the fourth season.

Cartel (web series)

Cartel is an Indian action-drama web series created by Ekta Kapoor for Balaji Telefilms. Supriya Pathak, Rithvik Dhanjani, Jitendra Joshi, Tanuj Virwani, and Divya Agarwal appear in it. It will be released on August 20, 2021. The plot of Cartel centres around five Mumbai gangsters. Khan, Anna, Angre, Gajraj, and a mysterious movie producer create five gangs that govern the city of dreams' low-profile underworld. While all five gangs operate in separate portions of the city, order and harmony are only maintained by one Iron Lady, Rani Maai, who sits on a throne and oversees the flawless operation of events. Rithvik is portrayed as Abhay Anger.

I Can Do That (Indian TV series)

I Can Do That is an Indian reality television show based on the same-named American version. It debuted on Zee TV on October 17, 2015, and is currently airing. Essel Vision Productions is in charge of the show's production. The show is an Indian rendition of an American television show in which players are challenged to demonstrate their abilities in a variety of challenges. Farhan Akhtar, the actor, hosts the show. Rithvik won this show.

Nach Baliye 6

Nach Baliye is a Hindi-language celebrity dance reality television show that airs on Star Plus in India. It's based on Dancing With The Stars. The show is a competition in which ten famous couples from television compete against each other. Every week, contestants dance to a different tune, a different subject, and a different manner, and the judges award points. Based on public vote and their scores, one couple is removed each week. Rithvik was the winner of this season.
