Biography

Rashmeet Kaur is an Indian singer-songwriter who was born on March 8, 1994. Rashmeet began singing at the age of five and has been studying music since the age of six. She was one of the top 40 participants in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012 and National Champion in a classical singing competition in 2010. She has performed in several Indian cities. Rashmeet Kaur won the first ever winner of The Remix - an Amazon Prime Originals music reality show - in 2018. Currently she participated in the reality show called Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 as a participant in 2023.  Rashmeet has performed with a variety of musicians all over the world and is currently working on her own projects with her band.

Rashmeet was one of the top 40 candidates on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (2012). She was a finalist in PTC Punjabi's Voice of Punjab Season 4, a national winner in a classical singing competition in 2010, and the winner of the IIT Delhi classical competition. She rose to prominence after starring as a competitor on Asia's singing superstar (2015). She wowed the audience with her remarkable performance of the Punjabi folk song Jugni Ji, which quickly went viral on the internet. In the Bollywood film Phillauri (2017), she sang the song Heer. She was named Upcoming Female Voice of the Year at the Mirchi Music Awards for Bangla in 2017. Her debut original song, Maati ki Gudiya, was launched in 2018 as a campaign to raise awareness about child marriages in India.

Rashmeet Kaur was the first ever winner of The Remix, an Amazon Prime Originals music reality show, in 2018. She performed for judges Sunidhi Chauhan, Nucleya, and Amit Trivedi. She rose to stardom after performing the classic Punjabi folk song Bajre Da Sitta. In March 2021, she achieved success with the song Nadiyon Paar (Let the Music Play), which was based on Shamur's 2004 party song Let the Music Play.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012

Hero - Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 201 is the fifth installment in the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge series. It premiered on Zed TV on September 29, 2012. Javed Ali, a well-known vocalist, hosted the show.
