The film, a spiritual sequel to the 1990 musical film Aashiqui, stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, with Shaad Randhawa and Mahesh Thakur in supporting roles and Salil Acharya in a cameo appearance. Ekta Kapoor had tapped Mohit Suri to direct a romantic thriller. Suri, the director, had denied that Ek Villain was a remake of the Korean film I Saw the Devil. Mohiit mentioned that every character in the film would have grey tones.
Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language love drama film directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mahesh Bhatt through his Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios banners. Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan, and Rajkummar Rao appear in the film. It is based on Bhatt's parents' love story, Nanabhai Bhatt, Shirin Mohammad Ali, and his stepmother Hemlata Bhatt. The film was released in theatres worldwide on June 12, 2015, to mixed to good reviews from reviewers. The film's worldwide gross as of 2 July was 580 million (US$9.04 million) on a budget of 350 million.
Malang was a 2020 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Mohit Suri and Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, and Kunal Khemu feature in the film. Malang 2 is the sequel of Mohit Suri's Malang. Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani will also play prominent parts in the sequel. Recently, Mohit shared a picture on his Instagram of a laptop with Malang 2- Unleash the Madness written on a word page.
