Malhar Thakar is an Indian actor who is known for working primarily in Gujarati films and television shows. In 2016, he played the lead character of Pranav Joshi in the Gujarati film Thai Jashe!.  Malhar has also appeared in films such as Chhello Divas, Passport, Cash On Delivery, Love Ni Bhavai, Saheb, and Vickida No Varghodo. Malhar rose to prominence after acting in Thai Jashe! in 2016. Along with Monal Gajjar and Manoj Joshi, he played Pranav Joshi. Malhar starred in the Amazon Prime Video Hindi web series Scoop in 2022. Malhar founded his own production company, Ticket Window Entertainment, in 2018. In April 2020, he announced the formation of an NGO to assist those afflicted by the COVID-19 outbreak in India. He made his Hindi film debut in the supporting role of Maja Ma (2022).

The story develops in a way where in Ahmedabad, Pranav Joshi played by Malhar Thakar works as an industrial designer. When his father's dyeing factory in Jetpur fails, his parents are forced to relocate to Ahmedabad with him. When his landlady insults them, Pranav decides he's had enough and resolves to buy his own house in the city.

Gulaam Chor is a 2023 Gujarati mystery thriller comedy directed by Viral Shah that revolves around a heist. Malhar Thakar plays the lead role.
