Amit Barot's 2017 film Shubh Aarambh marked Deeksha's feature film debut. The following year, she appeared in two more films, Karsandas Pay & Use and Colorbaaj. She had her first commercially successful movie with Karsandas Pay & Use.
She then worked on Sharato Lagu with Malhar Thakkar. Additionally, it was profitable. For her performance in Sharato Lagu, she received the GIFA Best Actress of the Year award in 2018. Both the movie and her performance won both critical and popular acclaim. Her following film, Dhunki, which starred Pratik Gandhi, received positive reviews.
