Manisha gained popularity after participating in the reality TV show Bigg Boss OTT 2, where she became the 2nd runner-up. In 2024, she participated in the dance reality TV show called Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 as a wild card contestant and she was the first wild card contestant to win the show.

Manisha Rani was born in a middle-class family in the Munger District of Bihar to her father, Manoj Kumar Chandi and mother, Ragini Devi. She has an elder sister named Sharika Rani, an elder brother Rahul Raj and a small brother Rohit Raj. In an interview, Manisha Rani revealed that her parents were separated when she was 8 years old and she and her four siblings were raised by her father alone. 

Manisha Rani completed her education from her hometown in Munger and then she ran away from Bihar to Kolkata to learn dancing. She completed her schooling at Govt Public School and then went to Royal College for commerce graduation. In Kolkata, she took various jobs, like working as a waitress and background dancer. 

Career

Manisha Rani was a TikTok star who used to make engaging content, which made her famous on TikTok. Before achieving recognition, she worked as a waitress and background dancer at weddings. She entered the entertainment industry as a contestant on the dance reality show Dance India Dance Season 5 where she was evicted in the first round itself. After that, she played a small role in the & TV serial Gudiya Hamari Sabhi Pe Bhari in 2020.

In 2024, Manisha Rani, along with a group of other TV stars, is getting ready to join the action-packed TV series Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Abhishek Kumar, a contestant from Bigg Boss 17, and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia have already been confirmed to be part of this adventure show.
