She took part in Bigg Boss 15 in 2021. Times' 2019 list of the Most Desirable Women on TV put Bisht at number 18.

Donal Bisht completed her education and initially pursued a career in journalism. She worked as a reporter for the news station and as a host for Chitrahaar on DD National.

Career

Donal Bisht made a debut in the Malayalam movie D Company. In 2015, her first role was as a reporter in Airlines. She played Dr. Shelly Gaitonde in the short series Twist Wala Love with Harshith Arora the same year.

She played Daisy in the 2016 Hindi movie Take Care. The role of Sakshi Deol Garewal in Kalash-Ek Vishwaas she played from 2015 to 2017. It was her first time on a big screen. She played Priyanka in an episode of Aye Zindagi as well.

Bisht got her big break in Ek Deewaana Tha, where she played Sharanya Bisht from 2017 to 2018 opposite Namik Paul and Vikram Singh Chauhan. Once the jump was over, she played Radhika. The last episode aired in 2018. She played Riya in an episode of Laal Ishq in 2018 with Mrunal Jain.

In the 2018–19 season of Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, she played the strong-willed Ishika Patel opposite Shashank Vyas. She took over for Jasmin Bhasin as Happy Mehra in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji in 2019. The part was played by Ansh Bagri. That was the last year of the show.

The biggest year for Bisht was 2020. In the Hindi show Pyaar Banam Khap Panchayat, she played Ram Prasad's daughter for the first time. The next role she had was as Donal in Karan Sharma's short film Duniya in 2020.

Then, Bisht made her web start with Akshat Saluja in Tia & Raj. It was her job to play Tia and make the micro-web series. After that, she played Tamanna opposite Iqbal Khan. Besides that, she was in five music videos, including "Fukrapanti," "Bepata," "Alag Mera Yeh Rang Hain," and "Teri Patli Kamar."

She was in the Hindi movie In the Month of July, which came out in 2021, seven years after it was finished. After that, she was in the music video for "Kinni Vari." In the web series The Socho Project, she played Sasha Pink.
