The entire house is on high alert when the parents get into a heated argument. The adorable younger sister, Chitti, disappears while Harshu and Dabbu attempt to settle the situation.

In an effort to win Vidhya over, Harshu never gives up. Shanky, his best friend, continually offers him new strategies to draw her attention, but this time Harshu has his own ideas.

On July 12, 2018, the show's first two episodes were jointly made available on TVF Play and YouTube. On July 20, 2018, other episodes were made available. Netflix has also made it accessible.

Arunabh Kumar, the creator of The Viral Fever, talked about the idea of creating a family-drama series. According to Arunabh, over the past 20 years, there hasn't been a strong premise for a family drama with a universally relatable plot in film or television. His goal was to bring the show's central theme—the dynamics of the stereotypical Indian family—to life. The setting selected the 1990s because, according to Arunabh, "just like the family relationships, the 90s had a certain innocence about them".

It was Saurabh's first time trying to write. Vishesh Bansal's mother was to be portrayed by Mona Singh, and Akarsh Khurana made his web series debut in the series. Jaipur was chosen as the setting by Arunabh because he felt it had the perfect balance of urban and rural. It's a fairly accurate portrayal of middle-class India, and it provides the play with a perfect backdrop.

In addition, Arunabh included a comment regarding working with children as a director, "Before we went on the floor, I was skeptical about shooting with the kids. I thought it would be very challenging. But to my surprise, all the kids were extremely hard-working and dedicated. They always used to come on set all prepared with the lines, and that made the shoot a lot easy. Rehearsing with them during the pre-production stage also helped to prepare them well for the shoot. Saxena said that he was skeptical about shooting with the kids before the show went on the floor."
