Sunflower has released it's second season on Zee 5 which was on March 1st, 2024. The show is directed by Navin Gujral, Rahul Sengupta and created by Vikas Bahl. The series is about DG’s keen eye catching a glimmer of recognition on the currency notes, leading him to deduce their origin from the EXODUS bar, where the mysterious Rosie once worked. A crucial breakthrough emerges when DG uncovers a bundle of notes bearing the same serial numbers as those found at the scene of a murder. Meanwhile, Radha, utilising unconventional means, rushes to the police station to alert authorities of Rosie and Sonu’s impending escape to the Maldives, further complicating the investigation. In the first season, the story revolves around a murder mystery based in a middle-class housing society in Mumbai called Sunflower. Now in season 2 of Sunflower, it continues the investigation into Mr. Kapoor's (Ashwin Kaushal) death, with a majority of the residents and frequent visitors coming under suspicion and being interrogated. Sunil Grover is an Indian actor and stand-up comedian known for his impeccable comic timing and versatile character portrayals. He began his career in films with a small role in "Pyar To Hona Hi Tha" (1998) but rose to fame through his television work, especially his characters Guthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati on "Comedy Nights with Kapil" and "The Kapil Sharma Show," respectively. Grover has also appeared in supporting roles in films like "Gabbar is Back" (2015) and "Bharat" (2019).
Adah Sharma is an Indian film actress known for her works in Hindi and South Indian film industries. She made her acting debut with the horror film "1920" (2008), directed by Vikram Bhatt, which was a box office success and earned her praise for her performance. Adah has since appeared in a variety of films, including the romantic comedy "Hasee Toh Phasee" (2014) and the action thriller "Commando 2" (2017).
Ranver Shorey as Inspector Digendra
Ranvir Shorey is an Indian actor and former VJ who has worked in numerous independent and mainstream films. He made his debut in the film "Ek Chhotisi Love Story" (2002) where he played a supporting role. Shorey is widely appreciated for his roles in films like "Khosla Ka Ghosla" (2006), "Bheja Fry" (2007), and "Sonchiriya" (2019). He is known for his ability to portray complex characters with ease.
Ashish Vidyarthi is a seasoned Indian actor who predominantly appears in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali films. He started his film career with a leading role in Kannada film "Anand" (1986). However, Ashish gained national recognition and a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the Bollywood film "Drohkaal" (1994). He is known for his diverse roles as an antagonist and character actor in movies such as "Bichhoo" (2000) and "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai" (2000).
