Sandwiched Forever is a real-deal sitcom that used multiple cameras to film. The actors practiced the whole scene just like they would for a stage play. At first, they wanted to have a live audience, like they do in the West, but because of Covid-19, they had to change their plans.
Many viewers enjoyed the series for its light-hearted comedic approach, with some commending its resemblance to sitcoms of the '80s and '90s. The talented cast received widespread approval for their performances, especially their comedic timing, which many found as a refreshing break from the typically intense content of other web series. On the other hand, some criticized the series for perceived aged humor and slow pacing, feeling that it made the show predictable and somewhat dull. Writing was called into question by some users, along with the profuse use of a laughter track which they felt was forced. A small portion of viewers felt that Atul Kulkarni, a seasoned actor, seemed uncomfortable with comedy. Yet even with these critiques, the series stood out for a notable number of viewers for its humor and the performances of its cast.
Sandwiched Forever serves up a platter of nostalgia that 90s sitcom fans will find hard to refuse. It choicely stirs family dynamics, love, and humor into a delightful concoction that leaves you laughing one moment and introspecting the next. Sure, it has its quirks - a laughter track that feels reminiscent of a bygone era and punches that sometimes miss their landing - but, oh, the joy of watching the convoluted drama of a newlywed couple and their lovingly invasive parents! You can't help but see a reflection of your own experiences at the heart of their comedic trials. A special mention to the stellar cast for their exceptional portrayals, adding layers of endearing charm. Atul Kulkarni, in an unexpected comedic role, brings forth the perfect amalgamation of fatherly love and amusing interference, reflecting our own dads in so many ways. Despite its flaws, Sandwiched Forever nestles into that comfy corner of your heart, reminding you of your own family gatherings - a little chaotic, slightly overbearing, yet filled with pure, unfiltered love.
