Pet Puraan, an Indian Marathi social comedy web series, focuses on the main characters, Aditi and Atul. Disheartened by intrusive advice from relatives at a social event, the duo decide to turn to pet companionship. Their journey starts with the decision to adopt a dog, pivoting, however, to rescuing a kitten named Baku. Despite initial setbacks from an NGO and the struggle of rearranging their home and lifestyle for their pets, they succeeded in this endeavor.

In their adventure of pet parenthood, they also manage to take in Vyanku, a dog, leading to many comedic situations. Balancing the responsibilities of pet ownership with the demands of their personal lives causes various challenges. Additionally, they face an ongoing struggle between their decision of being pet parents versus the traditional societal pressure of raising their own children. This leads to heartwarming moments of understanding, acceptance, and bonding with their pets that exceeds the initial purpose of adoption.
