The web series Kumari Srimathi is a new series released on Amazon Prime Video on 28th September 2023. The series is directed by Gomtesh Upadhye and produced by Chandu Nimmagadda. In this series Nithya Menen, Nirupam Paritala, Thiruveer Reddy, Gauthami Tadimalla play the real roles and there are other supporting actors. The web series is a drama series, about Srimathi played by Nithya Menen who is a 30 year old unmarried woman, with a dead end job, a dysfunctional family and a goal to win back her ancestral house. For that, she needs to raise a lot of money in a short period of time. Seeing a business oppurtunity, she decides to start a bar in her village. Plot
The series is about Srimathi who is a 30 year old unmarried woman, with a dead end job, a dysfunctional family and a goal to win back her ancestral house. The series is set in Ramaraju Lanka and centers on a dispute over family property between Srimathi (Nithya Menen) and her uncle Keshava Rao (Prem Sagar). Srimathi makes a commitment to her grandfather as a child that she will never sell the house. A will deed that Keshava Rao presents in court reveals that his father transferred the property in his name. Keshava Rao signs a sale agreement with another party, but the court rejects it since it concerns ancestral property.
The court also gives Srimathi the opportunity to buy the house and gives her six months to secure the necessary finances. However, Srimathi works as a chef and makes a pitiful living. She receives advice to launch a business from her neighbor Sriram (Nirupam). The rest of the series is based on what Srimathi did after that.
