The "Indian Police Force" series received a mix of ratings from critics. Archika Khurana from The Times of India and Rishil Jogani of Pinkvilla both gave 3/5 stars, noting its predictability but highlighting its novelty and faithful rendition of director Rohit Shetty's style. Trisha Bhattacharya of India Today and Aishwarya Vasudevan at OTTplay expressed more mixed reviews (2.5/5 stars), pointing out the potential for improvement in storytelling and innovation. Deepa Galhot from Rediff.com gave it a lower score of 2/5, missing the humour typically associated with Shetty's work, while Shubhra Gupta from The Indian Express rated it 1.5/5, critiquing its stretched plot with arguably overused tropes. Devansh Sharma of Hindustan Times posited that despite a different approach, Shetty's digital debut had not improved on his cinematic style, a sentiment echoed by Shilajit Mitra of The Hindu.
The series received mixed reactions from viewers. Many were disappointed with the storyline and dialogues, which they found to be lacking depth and cringe-inducing, respectively.
