Hostel Daze has received a rating of 8.5/10 on IMDb.
For a show joining the ranks of several others following a similar theme, Hostel Daze does very well for itself. When one expects this to be yet another college-based story, the show surprises you with its grit, humour, and depth in more ways than one.
Right from season 1, where the four leads join the college as freshers and navigate their tenure as juniors, to seasons 2 and 3, where their supposed level of authority as seniors now changes, the show beautifully explores how traditions like ragging and other aspects such as friendships, academics, relationships, and more are dealt with in different ways, and how they impact the lives of the four very capable leads.
While one could consider this show rooted in realism, depicting college life, especially so in an engineering college, in as raw a manner as possible, one could also say that it gives dangerous traditions like ragging a free pass.
Regardless, as a story that keeps you engaged throughout, Hostel Daze does a fantastic job overall, reeling you in with its humour, phenomenal acting, and clever writing.

Having spent three whole years at an engineering college, the characters witness immense growth in various aspects of their lives. This goes without saying, as each of them has different experiences at different stages, all of which affect them in different ways too.
The three primary protagonists, Chirag, Rupesh, and Ankit, all seem to handle the hazing, birthdays, love, academics, and more in very inventive ways while also showing their individual quirks as characters on the show.
Ankit's feelings for Akanksha, for instance, and then his subsequent fallout with his feelings for her, and his interactions with Nabomita also portray a sense of growth while also highlighting the skewed gender ratio at the average engineering college in India.
The characters' growth comes across as relatable to many, especially the mass of Indian youth who often find themselves in an engineering college.
As per the latest reports, there has been no confirmation yet on whether there will be a fourth season of Hostle Daze from its makers. As a result, there are no predictions available about what the plot of the season might offer to its viewers.

Hostel Daze has been a successful show spanning three seasons by the makers of some remarkable shows, The Kota Factory being one of them. The show does a fantastic and memorable job of portraying the lives of those who find themselves in one of the many engineering colleges in India.
From the ragging to the hazing, friendships, relationships, love stories, and academics, the show explores all possible aspects while the marvellously capable cast stands out for their revetting performances.
The show has been renewed for three seasons so far, with no word on whether there will be a fourth. The cast and crew have also been nominated for several awards, albeit without any victories to speak of. Nevertheless, Hostel Daze remains a show that has been widely appreciated for its storyline and performances and will be remembered fondly.
