Introduction

Ashim Ahluwalia has adapted the Spanish series Elite into the Hindi-language crime drama thriller television series Class. Three working-class kids attend Hampton International, a fictitious exclusive high school in Delhi, and the story centers on their interactions with their wealthier classmates. Bodhi Tree Multimedia and Future East Film produced the TV show.

 Story

Three working-class friends, Dheeraj, Saba, and Balli, are granted scholarships to Hampton International, a prestigious private school in New Delhi after their neighborhood school is destroyed by fire. The Ahuja Properties, who set the fire, fund the scholarships. The three are initially shunned by rich students at Hampton International. Nevertheless, as the school year goes on, their lives become intertwined in a conflict of sexual attraction, envy, and way of life.

Character Analysis

Suhani Ahuja played by Anjali Sivaraman

She is Eer's sister and Neeraj and Dheeraj's love interest. She hails from a prosperous background and tends to fall for the bad boy. She rejects her family's depraved habits while retaining a vibrant and upbeat attitude.

Neeraj Kumar Valmiki played by Gurfateh Pirzada

He is Suhani's love interest and the recently released older brother of Dheeraj. He is outspoken in his opposition to casteism. Suhani is drawn in by his attractive and menacing atmosphere. He struggles to make prison debt payments and will do anything to obtain money. He is sympathetic and considerate to those who are close to him. He gets into problems quite frequently.

Dheeraj Kumar Valmiki played by Piyush Khati

Among the three transfer students, one is seduced by Suhani. A diligent, reserved, and cunning man named Dheeraj Kumar Valmiki.

The making of the web series Class was a collaborative effort by the cast and crew. The actors, including PGurfateh Pirzada, Anjali Sivaraman, Ayesha Kanga, Chayan Chopra, Chintan Rachchh, Cwaayal Singh, Madhyama Segal, Moses Koul, Naina Bhan, Piyush Khati and Zeyn Shaw worked closely with the director to bring their characters to life and the authenticity to their performances. The production team was responsible for creating the visual world of the show, from the sets to the costumes and props. One reviewer on IMDb wrote, "When three new students receive scholarships at Hampton International School, a delicate equilibrium is not just upset but broken in the Netflix series Class, an Indian remake of the Spanish series Elite (2018) (created by Ashim Ahluwalia, Raghav Kakkar, and Kashyap Kapoor). An inquiry into a death sets the tone for the entire series. Through flashbacks, a story develops from several perspectives and is progressively stitched together."
