Plot

City of Dreams is an exciting web series that takes place in Mumbai, India, a huge city with a lot going on. The Gaikwads and the Mirzas are two powerful and related families that are at the centre of the story. Their rivalry grows into a risky game of power, politics, and betrayal. The Gaikwad family has been in charge of Mumbai's politics for many years. Ameya Gaikwad, a charismatic and well-liked politician is shot and killed at a public gathering the day before a state election. The event sends shockwaves through the city, which causes widespread unrest and shows that the government system is deeply corrupt.

As the investigation goes on, it becomes clear that the attack on Ameya Gaikwad was carefully planned, and the Mirzas, a family with their own political goals, are accused of being involved. Ameya's daughter, the strong-willed and ambitious Poornima Gaikwad, sets out to get revenge for her father's death and bring her family back to power. Poornima is pulled into a dangerous world full of lies, manipulation, and plans that are kept secret. She finds unlikely friends and learns shocking secrets about her own family, which make her question her loyalty and how much she is willing to pay for justice.

Ashish Mirza, the youngest son of the Mirza family, is torn between his family's bad behaviour and his own desire for a clean, honest political future. As Poornima and Ashish's paths cross, their personal goals and the bigger struggle for power clash, making it hard to tell what is right and what is wrong. As the web of lies comes apart, the series goes deeper into the shady politics of Mumbai, revealing the dark secrets that hold the city together. It looks at themes like cheating, the way families work, and how far people will go to get power and protect their own interests.

When a well-known politician is killed, the Gaikwads find themselves in the middle of a fight for power, loyalty, and their own lives. Controversy

When promoting Season 3 of City of Dreams, Atul Kulkarni said that Marathi actors had written bad things about Priya for her lesbian love scenes in City of Dreams. In the show, Priya and another female co-star had a scene where they were close, and the clip of the gay kissing scene went viral right away. While there were people on the Internet who liked how Priya took on the task of playing the character honestly, there were also people who didn't like her. There was another group of Internet users who were mean to the star and made fun of her. Atul Kulkarni, who plays Priya's co-star, praised the actress for how bravely she dealt with the response. He also said that stars in the Marathi film industry criticised the actress for the intimate scene.
