Breathe: Into The Shadows is a story that revolves around the kidnapping of Avinash Sabharwal's daughter. Avinash is renowned psychiatrist with his own practice in Gurugram. He is highly influential and knowledgeable, with his presence being requested at multiple trials as an expert witness.
He and his wife Abha, who plays a chef, have a daughter named Siya, who has been diagnosed with diabetes and thus needs routine insulin shots. They live a rather quiet life, which is then disrupted when Siya goes missing when they're at a friend's birthday party. With the police informed, a search of the house is conducted to rule out the possibility that she might just be playfully hiding somewhere, but the plot arrives at the conclusion that she's been taken.
A few months later, the parents are contacted by the kidnapper, who demands that Avinash kill certain people who have indulged in vices such as anger and lust if he wishes to have his daughter back. Forced to do so, he indulges in mind games with his first victim before mercilessly killing him.
At its core, the plot revolves around the length a father will go to get his daughter back.

Breathe: Into The Shadows has received an IMDB rating of 7.6/10.
Breathe: Into The Shadows is a show that grips you in more ways than one. While the show starts off on a mellow note, the sudden kidnapping of the Sahbharwals' daughter Siya leaves you wanting to find out what happens next.
Abhishek Bachchan keeps you hooked with his riveting performance, although the extent to which he goes to get to his daughter may come across as too far-fetched for some.
Amit Sadh, however, stands out with his performance when compared to the rest of the cast. He keeps the audience rooted, even when some might find Abhishek's cold-blooded murders a bit too convenient.
Overall, however, the show leaves one with mixed feelings. While it keeps you gripped, it also makes you realise that this isn't one that you will remember through the years as something special.

The lead character of the show, Dr. Abhinav Sabharwal, as mentioned earlier, is a well-known psychiatrist with his own practice in Gurugram. His expertise often results in him being called upon as an expert witness in multiple cases. His character evolves from that of a husband and father living his everyday life peacefully to one who becomes vengeful and fierce when forced to resort to violent means to find his daughter.
His wife, Abha Sabharwal, played by Nithya Menen, also comes across as someone living her everyday life without much happening. However, her character too can be seen going from the former to someone who has to murder someone since her husband is in jail, without much sense of remorse or regret visible.
There are no predictions about season 3. The show hasn't confirmed if there will be a season 3 either.

Breathe: Into The Shadows is a show that leaves you with mixed feelings. With this web series marking Abhishek Bachchan's debut in the OTT space, the show, in some ways, leaves much to be desired in terms of its writing.
However, with the characters also winning a few notable awards, it also goes to show that it does leave a mark in some ways. Overall, the Breathe franchise keeps you hooked to find out what happens, but not enough for it to go down as an all-time favourite.
