One of the popular faces of Indian television, Barun Sobti is also playing a lead role in Asur. Sobti is essaying the role of Nikhil Nair in the show. Nikhil is an FBI trailer and a forensic knowledgeable who accompanies Dhanjay Rajput in chasing the serial killer.
The Padmaavat actor Anupriya Goenka will also be seen playing a key role in the web series. Goenka essays the role of Naina Nair in Asur. Naina is the wife of Nikhil Nair and is a housewife.
Yet another prominent face of the Indian television industry, Riddhi Dogra will also be seen playing a pivotal role in the series. Dogra is essaying the role of Nusrat Saeed, who is also a crucial member of the forensic department. She also had a relationship with Nikhil in the past before he got married to Naina.

Even if the two suspects who were believed to be Shubh have been apprehended, it is still quite feasible that the Asur online serial will continue for another season. But it turns out that the person who was actually apprehended wasn't the real Shubh. Rasool, a member of the CBI team, was revealed to be the true Shubh. As he kills Sharib Hashmi, Shubh declares that the conflict will go on. He is believed to have many allies who follow his instructions. This is demonstrated by the fact that after the journalist exits the gas chamber, she murders a second person. Additionally, the woman who is looking after Nikhil's child is poisoning him.
Therefore, the season 1's frightening ending clearly indicates that the'sur-asur' conflict will be featured on a larger scale in the future season 2. After Dhananjay is suspended, Nikhil accuses him of killing his daughter and says that Dhanajay's prior errors are to blame. This is the end of the season of Asur.
