Renuka Shahane and Siddharth Kak were the hosts of the Indian cultural magazine show Surabhi, which aired on Indian television from 1990 till 2001, with a hiatus of one year in 1991. It was first shown on the government-owned television channel Doordarshan, but it was then switched to the private television network Star Plus and airs on Sunday mornings. Cinema Vision India, which is run by Kak and is situated in Mumbai, was the production company behind Surabhi. The culture of the Indians was the focus of it. The programme has had the largest measured audience reaction of any show in the annals of Indian television history, earning it a place in the Limca Book of Records.
