The trailer of the movie has been unveiled by Disney Plus Hotstar and the movie has released on 29th September 2023 and is available only on Disney Plus Hotstar.
The plot of the movie is based on every middle-class boy who’s catched up between doing a corporate job or chasing his childhood dreams. The movie also highlights the bitter truth of the society regarding an unemployed man. The movie will promote a strong message by showing the struggles faced by today’s youth. Whether it comes to having a mundane joblife or dreaming of becoming an entrepreneur, Ishwak Singh seems to have a well characterized hold on the character as seen in the trailer.
The trailer is full of relatable significance as well as humor.
'Tumse Na Ho Payega,' directed by the debutant Abhishek Sinha, is a Disney+ Hotstar release offering a critique on the corporate lifestyle and spotlighting entrepreneurial aspirations. The screenplay, penned by Nitesh Tiwari and Nikhil Mehrotra, adapt the motifs from Varun Agarwal's 'How I Braved Anu Aunty and Co-Founded a Million Dollar Company' but strains in the cinematic transition due to an oversimplified presentation.
The acting, especially the lead Ishwak Singh (as Gaurav) and Meghna Malik (Anu Aunty), is commendable, but due to the script's trite approach, they aren't provided a rich terrain to explore their characters. Mahima Makhwana as Devika, the social media manager and Gaurav's love interest, brings refreshing dynamism through her strategically ambitious character. The rest of the cast, which includes Gaurav Pandey as Mal and Gurpreet Salini as Vaghela, provides enough support to create a credible friend group.
Despite Sinha's steady direction, the centrally-positioned plot of Gaurav's food start-up for 'bhukkad bachelors' feels somewhat ill-timed given the current proliferation of home chefs and culinary ventures. The story is predictably charted through entrepreneurship's familiar tribulations and triumphs, leaving very little for unique exploration, leading to a rather quick pacing of the movie. This rapid forward momentum leaves little room to experience key emotional moments and the deeper essence of the characters.
As for technical aspects, there's no animation showcased, and the graphics aren't particularly noticeable. However, editing masterfully keeps the film concise and manageable, although the narrative tends to feel rushed because of the numerous life lessons clumsily crammed in. Food shots stand out as visually appealing, appealing to those who appreciate thoughtful presentation in culinary cinema.
'Tumse Na Ho Payega' might appeal to a Gen-Z audience interested in social media culture, start-up environment, and the emerging gig economy. The film presents an array of characters striving to make a mark in a rapidly changing India, with a dash of romantic intrigue. However, viewers seeking a deeply engaging narrative might find the film's approach to 'dream chasing' and the entrepreneur journey somewhat lacklustre and oversimplified.
