The events in the film are based on real-life occurrences that took place in the Kolar Gold Fields in the state of Karnataka, and the plot centres on the lives of mine workers in that region. Chiyaan Vikram seems to be the head of the clan and is the lead of the film. This film was directed by PA. Ranjith, and it has performances by a number of well-known actors, including Chiyaan Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Harikrishnan.
