When Ishana gets let out of jail, his father, Daddy, comes to take him up. Ishana rejects Daddy's advice to build his multiplex outside Mussoorie as they travel home. He is thinking back on Ramisa, a woman.
Ramisa relocated to Mussoorie from London three years ago to live with her grandparents and father, Damodar. Damodar wins the election by 1000 votes. It is clear that Daddy and Damodar are close friends, and while the latter is having a party outside Damodar's home with Ishana, he attracts Ramisa's attention. The light goes out when Damodar, Daddy, and Ishana eat dinner later that night. Damodar instructs Ishana to get Ramisa's grandma from the house to prevent her from falling. Instead, he chooses Ramisa.
Ramisa and Ishana begin to flirt gently when everyone comes out for dinner, and they continue to do so the next day. Ishana's friend Lol asks him whether he is seeing someone and gets the answer that he will see Ramisa. Soon after, they begin to see each other more frequently and kiss. Daddy begins to wonder if Ishana is dating someone. Ishana admits that he is seeing Ramisa and that he and she are much in love with her. He begs Daddy to see Damodar discuss the marriage of Ishana and Ramisa, but Daddy replies that he will go when the time is appropriate.
Ishana greets Ramisa after his homecoming. Ishana develops a passionate affection for her as their relationship develops, but when it comes time to tell their parents about the relationship, things go differently.
