Two brothers named Kishen and Karan grow up in the Mumbai slums, and their narrative is told in the movie "Parinda" starring Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor. Karan wants to be a singer, but Kishen serves as a henchman for the notorious don Anna (Nana Patekar). Kishen is utterly devoted to Anna and will stop at nothing to keep him safe, but he grows weary of his life of crime and longs to leave it behind. When Musa (Parekh), a criminal who is Anna's opponent, attacks Anna and attempts to seize control of his region, Kishen is forced into a bloody fight that could split his family and test his allegiances. Karan, meanwhile, develops feelings for Paro (Madhuri Dixit), a cab dancer who performs at Musa's nightclub. Karan's friendship with Paro causes further complications in his interactions with Kishen and Anna, which ultimately have tragic results. As Kishen and Karan are forced to face their past and the results of their choices, the movie builds to a suspenseful and emotional finale. Anna: The persona of Nana Patekar Anna is a tough and strong underworld don who oversees a big crime enterprise.
