Widower Janaradhan Wishvanbhar Rane has dedicated his life to raising his two children, Chirag and Gaurav. Since they were young children, Janaradhan has done everything in his power to raise them in the best way possible.

Gaurav has now taken on the role of caring for his father as he has gotten older. To the best of his abilities, he handles their business and household duties with his brother Chirag. He views his dad as a son. With the watchfulness of a strict father, Gaurav is on alert.

He yells, threatens, fights, and occasionally locks his father up to prevent his best friend, Madhav Mathur, a divorcee who is eager to marry, from spoiling him. Gaurav always has to bail out Madhav and Janaradhan, who are constantly getting into trouble because Madhav is looking for a bride.

Gaurav, who is occupied running his business, begins to receive prank calls from a girl who turns out to be Shikha Kapoor, an old classmate whom he once bullied. Currently, Shikha resides with her guardian Anuradha, who later becomes Janardhan's first love. 

When Janaradhan and Anuradha finally come face to face after many years, Gaurav and Shikha observe alterations in their behaviour. They learn more about their previous partnership. 

Gaurav now wants his father to wed Anuradha. In an exciting voyage to organise the love marriage of Shikha's guardian and his father, Gaurav and Shikha discover their true selves. The road is difficult, but Madhav's passionate search for a spouse helps him overcome the difficulties.

Shikha's father, Nirmal, who doesn't appear happy that his daughter would marry into a home where her would-be father-in-law is organising his own honeymoon, threatens to break up Gaurav and Shikha's relationship.

Furthermore, Chirag's wife, Rupali (Preity Pundir), and her family express anger over the relationship. In spite of all of this, and against the wishes of many people, Gaurav marries Rane to Anuradha through a series of circumstances. 

However, Nirmal confesses in the end that he would have been deeply unhappy if he had chosen to marry Shikha rather than organise his father's remarriage. Shikha's father gives Shikha's hand to Gaurav as the movie comes to a close.
