The film was shot in two parts. In March 2018, many scenes were also shot in Vadodara. The second half of the show began in April 2018 in London. In June 2018, principal photography wrapped up. The film's team aimed to capture the authentic spirit of Navratri festivities. They filmed actual Garba dance sequences during the festive season in Gujarat, adding an authentic touch to the movie. Traditional outfits, embellishments, and accessories were incorporated to capture the festive spirit.
In late September 2018, a slight disagreement arose regarding the film's title in the midst of promotion. It was initially called Loveratri, a play on the words love and Navratri (a religious nine-day celebration of the Hindu goddess Durga). However, the religious organisation Vishva Hindu Parishad thought that the title corrupted the meaning of the celebration and lodged a protest against the creators. On September 18, 2018, Khan revealed on his Instagram page that the title of the film would be changed from Loveratri to Loveyatri, with yatri meaning traveller, changing the overall connotation to the journey of love.
Loveyatri had a budget of 22 crores but failed at the box office, earning 12.61 crores in India and 19.39 crores worldwide.
