Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl is a Bollywood romantic-comedy film released in 2011. The movie's plot follows the story of a charming conman, Ricky Bahl (played by Ranveer Singh), who uses his good looks and wit to deceive and defraud unsuspecting women. However, things turn out when he meets three women who are onto his game.
The film begins with Ricky Bahl, a smooth-talking, handsome young man who lures women into falling in love with him and swindles them out of their money. He moves from city to city, changing his identity and modus operandi each time, leaving behind a trail of broken hearts and empty bank accounts. Dimple (played by Parineeti Chopra), a fiery saleswoman who works for a luxury car dealership. She meets Ricky at a business conference and falls for his charms. But when Ricky disappears after taking her money, she decides to take matters into her own hands and tracks him down.
Dimple's investigation leads her to two other women Ricky has also duped - Raina (played by Dipannita Sharma), a successful businesswoman, and Saira (played by Aditi Sharma), a small-town girl who dreams of becoming a singer.
Together, the three women hatch a plan to get revenge on Ricky. They hire Ishika (played by Anushka Sharma), a street-smart con artist, to help them. Ishika poses as a wealthy heiress and seduces Ricky into falling in love with her. She then convinces him to pull off a big scam, promising him a huge payout.
But things don't go as planned when Ricky realises he's been conned. He decides to turn the tables on the women and goes on the run with the money. However, the women are not ones to give up easily and pursue Ricky across the country.
The rest of the movie is a cat-and-mouse game between Ricky and the women as they try to outsmart each other. Will the women succeed in getting their revenge and bringing Ricky to justice? Or will Ricky prove to be too bright for them? The answer lies in the exciting climax of Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl.

On December 9, 2011, the film was released in India. It earned a mixed to positive response from critics at its initial release. Parineeti Chopra, the cousin of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, made her acting debut in the film, and most critics applauded her. Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave the film three out of five stars, saying, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl is, at best, a decent fare that appeals in parts. The film begins and ends well. It's the in-between that's mundane. The picture deserves two and a half stars, but that extra half star goes to Ranveer and Anushka, who steal your heart with genuinely outstanding performances.
So did Rajeev Masand, who classified it as watchable but felt it could have been so much more fun in his review for IBN Live.
