K.G.F: Chapter 2 begins with Rocky (Yash) taking control of the K.G.F. after defeating Virat. He also takes Reena (Srinidhi Shetty) hostage to ensure that nobody would try to defy him. While Rocky is enjoying his power over the K.G.F., Adheera resurfaces and threatens Rocky's status quo.
As these power battles between Adheera and Rocky continued, Ramika Sen (Raveena Tandon) became the country's Prime Minister in 1981. She makes it her mission to resolve the issue in the K.G.F. She does this by ordering raids in all of Rocky's warehouses. She intends to destroy his business from its foundations and hit it where it hurts the most. As Rocky tries to avert this by threatening Sen of the corruption within her party, she becomes even more fearless and makes her actions against him more severe.
With a death warrant issued against him, Rocky has no option but to leave K.G.F. But before doing this, he ensures he has his army of workers. However, Sen finds Rocky and issues orders to bomb the ship. In the climax, Rocky is seen disappearing and drowning in the ocean with all his wealth. The movie ends by giving a sneak peek into a possible third installment.

If there is one movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat and not lose your attention even for a split second, it's K.G.F: Chapter 2. Seldom do sequels do well, especially when their first parts have set standards as high as K.G.F.: Chapter 1, but living up to the audience's expectations is one thing this film doesn't have to worry about.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 explores Rocky's personal life, adding a touch of emotion and depth to the character, which was a welcome change from the first part. The cinematography and production do justice to Prashanth Neel's vision and ensure the audience isn't bored, even for a split second. The background score complements the intense moments, making them even more impactful.
Yash continues to impress with his portrayal of Rocky, bringing a sense of vulnerability to his otherwise larger-than-life character. The film is a true spectacle, with its attention to detail, lavish sets, and powerful performances. Overall, K.G.F: Chapter 2 is a well-made film that will entertain and thrill audiences. It is a must-watch for fans of action and period films.

Yash- He is an intense, stoic, serious, and no-nonsense character. He is a man of few words, choosing to communicate primarily through actions rather than words. This gives him an air of mystery and adds to the intrigue surrounding him. Despite his quiet demeanor, Rocky is charismatic and confident while also being able to instill a respectful fear in those around him.
Adheera- He is a powerful and cunning antagonist who seeks control over the gold mines. He is a ruthless and uncompromising leader who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, even if it means resorting to violence and manipulation. Despite his evil ways, he expects to be respected and feared by those around him.
Reena- She is an honest and dedicated journalist in K.G.F. Chapter 2. She is determined to uncover the truth behind the politics of the gold mine and how they affect people. Full of zeal and passion for doing good, she is a stark contrast to the other power-hungry characters in the film.

The shooting of K.G.F: Chapter 2 was almost completed when the Covid-19 lockdown struck. At this point, the film was in its post-production stage, but all the processes had to be held owing to the strict restrictions during the pandemic. Producers expected to suffer losses due to the delay but were able to make up for all of it during the box office collections.
The film's shooting also faced other difficulties in its final leg due to Sanjay Dutt's lung cancer diagnosis, after which he went to the U.S. to receive treatment. While director Prashanth Neel assured that Dutt's part had been shot completely, there was a lot of confusion around the film's release date.
Apart from this, fans of superstar Yash would be treated with glimpses of him from the sets of the movie from time to time, which would create a buzz on social and keep up the curiosity surrounding the film.
In August 2019, a petition was filed against the makers of K.G.F: Chapter 2 by N Srinivas, President of K.G.F.'s National Citizens Party. N Srinivas alleged that the film was damaging flora and fauna of K.G.F. because of the enormous, grand, and environmentally damaging sets constructed in vulnerable areas. He further accused the makers of damaging the cyanide mound in the region due to the film's shooting, the waste it created, and the resources it used. The producers claimed these allegations were baseless and were merely a day away from completing their shooting. By this time, they had begun shooting in Hyderabad. On 27 September of the same year, the film producers won the case and returned to shoot the rest of their film at Cyanide Hills.
The lifetime collection of K.G.F: Chapter 2 is ₹509 crore, making it one of India's highest-grossing box office films. The film was released across 6,000 screens in India, including single-screen and multiplex theatres. Internationally, the film was also released in the U.K., U.S.A., Ireland, Australia, and U.A.E.
K.G.F: Chapter 2's teaser became one of the most-watched teasers of all time in India, with more than 268 million views on YouTube alone. It earned 72 million views within 24 hours of the release of the teaser, a clear testament to the movie's popularity.
Sanjay Dutt's look in the film, with cornrows, a long and pointed white beard and black streaks across his face, has been inspired by Vikings.
As K.G.F. Chapter 2 continued to break records, so did its songs. 'Toofan', the film's first song released, became the most viewed Indian lyrical video on YouTube.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 cost about ₹100 crores, making it the most expensive Kannada film ever created.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 was an all-out thrilling, entertaining film, made even more powerful due to the cast's stellar performances. The film's buzz and appreciation have grown so much that it has extended beyond the film's scope. The K.G.F. series has helped popularise Kannada cinema and is no less than a cult classic.
