Ramkishan, who is played by Alok Nath, is a well-known and prosperous industrialist. Despite their contemporary lifestyle, his family is a striking illustration of the traditional values of togetherness and affection for one another. They have one daughter, Sangeeta (played by Neelam Kothari), as well as three sons: Vivek (played by Mohnish Bahl), Prem (played by Salman Khan), and Vinod (played by Saif Ali Khan).

The success of Ramkishan's company is in large part due to the contributions made by Vivek. During his childhood, he was involved in an accident that left him paralysed in one arm when he was attempting to save his brothers. Because of this, it is challenging for him to locate an appropriate partner to marry.

Sangeeta is a married woman who currently resides with her husband's family. The name of her spouse is Anand (played by Mahesh Thakur), and the name of their young daughter is Radhika (Zoya Afroz). In addition, Sangeeta's husband, Anand, has a younger brother named Anurag, a sister-in-law named Jyoti, and two nephews named Raju and Bablu. A misunderstanding threatens to disrupt the tight-knit relationship that exists throughout the family.

Behind The Scenes

Bahl was ultimately chosen to play the part of Vivek after Anil Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor turned down the opportunity to play the part. In preparation for the job, Bahl developed the habit of always having his right hand in his pocket, which is appropriate for the character.

Madhuri Dixit, who starred as the lead heroine in Hum Aapke Hain Koun.!, was the first actress that Barjatya sought regarding the character of Sadhna. but turned it down because of how popular she was. Then Manisha Koirala got the offer, but she, too, was unable to accept it because she was filming for Mann. Finally, Tabu was chosen for the role.

Later on, the producers had another go at approaching Rishi Kapoor about playing Anand, but he turned down the part, as did Nitish Bhardwaj when he was offered it as well; as a result, Mahesh Thakur was cast in the part.

Controversy

On a hunting trip while filming the Jodhpur film, several members of the cast, including Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam Kothari, Tabu, and Sonali Bendre, were accused of illegally shooting an endangered black buck. The event received a great amount of coverage in the news, and Salman Khan was held in custody for one week in Jodhpur in 2007 before the court released him on bail. In 2018, a court in Jodhpur found him guilty while clearing the other defendants of all charges.
