Golmaal Returns- 2008

Rohit Shetty's comedy movie Golmaal Returns was released in 2008.The movie, which is the second in the Golmaal film series, is a remake of the 1989 Marathi film Pheka Pheki, which was itself influenced by the 1973 Hindi film Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar. Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Shreyas Talpade are the movie's stars. It was one of the highest-grossing Hindi movies of 2008.

Plot 

The story of "Golmaal Returns" centers on the lives of the characters Gopal (Ajay Devgn), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), Madhav (Arshad Warsi), Laxman (Shreyas Talpade), and Laxman's girlfriend, Ekta (Kareena Kapoor Khan), and Mira (Amrita Arora)

When Ekta suspects Gopal of cheating, the plot really gets going. But after seeing a murder, she becomes more concerned about Gopal's involvement. A dead body mysteriously appears in Gopal's car, further escalating the chaos.

Gopal and others become involved in a web of misunderstandings, misidentifications, and humorous scenarios as the story goes on. As they work through their individual problems, they attempt to solve the murder mystery. Vasooli Bhai, a neighborhood thug (Mukesh Tiwari), also contributes to the comedic mayhem.

A funny story is developed throughout the movie using aspects of mistaken identities, slapstick humor, and clever language. There are several funny moments as a result of the characters' absurd surroundings and hilarious antics.

Release

Golmaal Returns was released on October 29, 2008, and it received a lot of love and acclaim from viewers. One of the biggest hits of 2008, the film earned 80 crores at the box office. 

Reviews

IMDb has given the film a 5.2 out of 10 rating.

In terms of content, the movie is a massive letdown, claims Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama. This GOLMAAL pales in comparison to its first section, with the exception of a few jokes and gags.

Despite being humorous and enjoyable, the writing should have been stronger given the standard set by the series' first film.

• Ajay Devgn - Ajay Devgn is an Indian actor, director, editor, and producer who primarily works in the Hindi film industry. • Arshad Warsi - Arshad Warsi is an Indian actor who works in the Hindi Film Industry. Before making his acting debut, he worked as Mahesh Bhatt's assistant director on Kaash and choreographed a song for Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja. Tere Mere Sapne, a box office hit, marked Warsi's acting début in 1996. In the 2003 comedy movie Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. and its 2004 sequel, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, he played the character of Circuit, which was a turning point in his acting career. 

• Shreyas Talpade - Indian actor, director, and producer Shreyas Talpade works in both Hindi and Marathi films. He has acted in a number of critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies. He is more known for his part in Om Shanti Om (2007) as Shah Rukh Khan's friend Pappu Master. He acted in the comedies Housefull, Golmaal Again, Golmaal Returns, Welcome to Sajjanpur, and Golmaal 3. Talpade also provided Allu Arjun's voiceover in Pushpa: The Rise's Hindi translation.

• Tusshar Kapoor - Tusshar Kapoor is an Indian actor and producer from the Hindi Film Industry. He is the son of the very famous actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor.

• Amrita Arora Ladak - Amrita Arora Ladak is a Hindi-language film actress, model, television host, and video jockey from India.

 Ajay Devgn as Gopal

Gopal is a regular guy who lives with his sister and wife. He is, however, tired of his wife's allegations and suspicions of infidelity. He finds himself in an awkward situation where he lies about his whereabouts, leading to accusations of murder.

Kareena Kapoor Khan as Ekta

Ekta spends her days binge-watching soap operas on the couch. She constantly accuses her husband of having an extramarital affair and then draws up imaginary situations in her  to support her claims.

Arshad Warsi as Madhav

Investigator Madhav is in love with Gopal's sister . Because of his animosity for Gopal, he wants to prove that Gopal is the murderer.

Shreyas Talpade as Laxman

When Laxman visits Gopal's office in search of a job, he ends up becoming his friend and helps him in concealing the lies that Gopal has told his wife.
