Fitoor movie is based on the popular Charles Dicken's novel The Great Expectation, it was an emotional love story, A masterpiece. Poetic dialogues, breathtaking scenery and soulful background music. Aditya roy kapoor’s and tabu’s character has left a huge impact on their fans with their exceptional acting skills.
Tabu is a legend in such parts, and she gives full credit to every single scene. Aditya also provides depth to characters like these with his innate melancholy nature, whether it be in Ashiqui, Malang, or Fitoor. The characters are quite compelling, and it is tough to decide which one was better. He is absolutely amazing in these parts. It's a perfect movie for those who love to watch emotional and romantic movies. Katrina Kaif's character was evolved throughout the movie as a young girl falling in love with a guy her mother doesn't approve of. However the movie couldn't meet the expectations of some of the people due to poor script writing and weak direction. What had the potential to have a significant influence but instead was a long, dull movie.

Character Analysis
Aditya Roy Kapur as Noor Nizami - Noor, a young man madly in love with the girl he met at a young age and how he works hard as an artist to become an accomplished man for the girl he loves. Noor is a very passionate, talented and skilled artist. Even though his life has not been easy in the movie, he overcomes all the hurdles to reach his goal and for the girl he had cherished from a very young age.
Katrina Kaif as Firdaus Jahaan Naqvi - Firdaus is a bright and young girl. Firduas had been an emotional and sentimental person in the movie. Firdaus's character also shows maturity and understanding. Firdaus has been infatuated by the noor nizami in the movie from a really early age but due to circumstances they had to part ways and later after they meet again and the spark between them gets reignited.
Tabu as Begum Hazrat Jahaan - Hazrat jahaan was a decrepit character, heartbroken by the man she loved (firdaus’s father) that has led to being cold to her daughter’s wish to be with the man she loves (noor). Hazrat jahaan has turned out to be the most impactful character in the movie as tabu played her part exceptionally.

Controversy
The director of the movie fitoor abhishek kapoor has been surrounded by controversy ever since the movie debuted in theatres. And it seemed that he was not entirely satisfied with the way things were going. At the time sources from the sets stated that Abhishek kapoor was disheartened by the way the movie was shaping up. He was so enraged that he demanded a reshoot of a passionate sequence between Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif, the movie's leading couple, since he felt it wasn't up to the mark.

Fitoor's ten-day earnings amount roughly 18.50 crores, and its lifetime earnings are expected to be in the neighbourhood of 19 crores. After the second weekend, the movie brought in 16.53 crores overseas. Fitoor won't be able to recoup its investments with an estimated 16.50 crores in distributor share.
