The story follows Raj (Govinda), who has a wife named Kiran (Sushmita Sen) and a girlfriend supermodel named Dolly (Lara Dutta). Cook Mangu (Rajpal Yadav) is fired by Raj for trying to charm the female employees.
Mangu takes a photo of Raj and Dolly and gives it to Kiran as revenge. Raj then clarifies that Dolly is not his girlfriend. There are three persons in the photo, according to him: Raj, Dolly, and Govardhan (Ritesh Deshmukh).
Raj reveals to Kiran that the man in the photo, who entered the frame as he was passing by, is Dolly's boyfriend and instructs Govardhan to stay with Dolly for a few days to calm Kiran's concerns.
When Dolly's ex-lover Diesel (Sohail Khan) appears and threatens to beat Govardhan up if he learns who Dolly's boyfriend is, Govardhan becomes extremely upset. Dolly and Govardhan are being followed by a detective (Ranvir Shorey) on Kiran's orders.
The plot twist occurs when Kiran tells Raj that she is travelling to Pune to meet her mother but, in reality, she is working with the investigator to come up with a plan to catch Dolly and Raj in the act of cheating. As soon as Kiran departs, Raj makes the reservation for Dolly and him in the hotel's presidential suite, as Kiran had anticipated.
As Dolly and Raj are having fun, Kiran's detective begins his work. But as he attempts to enter Raj and Dolly's chamber, he is crushed by the window. When Raj and Dolly see the body, they believe he is dead and call Govardhan to assist in disposing of it. Govardhan and Diesel, Dolly's ex, both arrive at the same time. Mangu, Raj's former cook, who now works at the hotel, arrives as they are attempting to dispose of the body.
When they learn that the detective is still alive, the plot thickens. Luckily for them, the fall he sustained caused him to lose his memories. Raj reveals to him that his name is John Matthews and that he is married. Dolly informs him that he is divorced and goes by the name John Matthews. He is John Matthews, according to Govardhan, and is still single.
When Govardhan runs into Diesel, Diesel is about to assault him when he is informed that Raj is her lover. Diesel informs Raj that Govardhan is Dolly's boyfriend when he runs into him. Dolly is found by Govardhan, who advises her to spend her time with Diesel, the one who truly loves her, rather than making up stories about her love life. Dolly nods in agreement and gives Govardhan a hug, telling him what a nice guy he is.
Regrettably, Diesel misreads the circumstance and begins to attack Govardhan. Dolly saves Govardhan by informing Diesel that Govardhan encouraged her to return to him. Dolly departs with Diesel.
Govardhan returns to his ill mother's hospital bed. (He did everything for her. He decided to follow Raj's instructions because he needs to pay for her hospital expenses.) He decides to marry his mother's choice, Mala (Rituparna Sengupta), the nurse who cares for her.
And Raj convinces Kiran that nothing is wrong, and they both return home. During all of this, the detective regains his memories and returns to Kiran with proof of her husband's affair.
Kiran and Raj are set to leave for their second honeymoon as he arrives. When the detective observes Kiran and Raj's love, he throws the camera with evidence of Raj and Dolly's affair. Kiran sees the photographs after the camera lands on her foot. Raj weeps at the end of the story.
