Akash (Ayushmann Khurrana) wishes to travel overseas and become a well-known pianist. One day Akash is playing the piano in a restaurant, where he meets a former film star, Pramod Sinha (Anil Dhawan). Pramod invites Akash to his house to perform a private show. As he visits, Akash meets Pramod’s wife, Simi (Tabu). Just as Akash walks in, he learns that Pramod has been murdered. Pramos' wife is having an affair with a police officer who is present at the murder scene. Both the police and Simi are attempting to remove the body in front of Akash, presuming he is blind, but in truth, he has been acting blind in order to sharpen his other senses and grow into a great artist.
Akash is forced to confront the consequences of his actions. He finds himself involved in a variety of problems.
Andhadhun was supposed to be released on August 31, 2018. However, the creators changed the date to October 5 in a trailer. Since the movie is about a blind guy, Raghavan originally wanted the trailer to just feature sounds, but the company was shocked by his idea. The release day for the trailer was September 2, 2018.
The movie is on Netflix and was shown in 800 theatres in India. The 2019 Los Angeles Indian Film Festival, where Tabu was honoured, screened it. On April 3, 2019, Andhadhun was made available in China as Piano Player. The movie premiered in South Korea on August 28, 2019, over more than 90 screens.

Special lenses and dark spectacles were given to Ayushmann Khurrana, significantly reducing his vision by up to 90%.
Although the movie was made over a year, just 44 days were actually spent filming.
Ayushmann Khurrana wasn't the original pick to play Akash; it was Varun Dhawan.
The 2010 French short film L'Accordeur served as an inspiration for the movie.
Raghavan originally wanted the trailer to contain only selected noises because it is the story of a blind guy.
Andhadhun is a must-watch for fans of thrillers and suspense films. The film's unique plot, standout performances, and stylish cinematography make it a standout entry into the Indian film industry. Andhadhun proves Sriram Raghavan's mastery as a director and further establishes Ayushmann Khurrana as one of Bollywood's leading actors.
