Yashpal Sharma Movie Shool (1998)

Eeshwar Nivas is the director of this Indian action/crime movie in Hindi. It depicts the relationship between politicians and criminals the criminalization of politics in Bihar and its impact on the life of an honorable police officer. It was written and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. 

As Inspector Samar Pratap Singh played by Manoj Bajpayee and the borderline psychopath criminal-politician Bachhu Yadav played by Sayaji Shinde who is largely based on politician-turned-criminal Surajbhan Singh. Yashpal Sharma Movie Lagaan (2001)

Ashutosh Gowariker wrote and directed this sports drama movie. Aamir Khan who acts in the movie along with debutante Gracy Singh and British actresses Rachel Shelley and Paul Blackthorne produced it. An arrogant British Indian Army officer challenges a Central Indian village's residents to a game of cricket as a bet to avoid paying the taxes they owe. 

The film is set in 1893 during the late Victorian era of India's colonial British Raj. The residents are burdened by high taxes and several years of drought. The villagers must laboriously learn a game that is foreign to them and compete to win. 

Lagaan received various awards and was shown at many international film festivals. After Mother India (1957) and Salaam Bombay it was the third Indian movie to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film! (1988). 

With eight victories at the 47th Filmfare Awards including Best Film Best Director for Gowariker and Best Actor for Khan Lagaan became the movie with the most honors. The movie took home eight honors at the 49th National Film Awards including Best Popular Film.

Yashpal Sharma Movie Apaharan (2005)

Ajay Devgn Bipasha Basu and Nana Patekar play the main characters in Prakash Jha's 2005 Indian Hindi-language crime action thriller Apaharan. It tells the tale of a father and son who have a complicated relationship and divergent views against the backdrop of the abduction trade in India's eastern province of Bihar. In India Apaharan's box office performance was deemed a semi-hit.

Anees Bazmee and Suresh Nair wrote the screenplay for the 2008 Indian action comedy film Singh Is Kinng which was directed by Bazmee. A number of actors including Akshay Kumar Katrina Kaif Om Puri Ranvir Shorey Neha Dhupia Javed Jaffrey Sonu Sood and Sudhanshu Pandey appear in the movie. The movie a remake of the 2006 Telugu film Vikramarkudu stars Akshay Kumar in dual roles as a courageous police officer and a thief. It is based on a narrative written by V. Vijayendra Prasad. The 2017 Hindi-language military drama movie Tubelight was written and directed by Kabir Khan. It is based on the 1962 Sino-Indian War and was produced by Salman Khan and Kabir Khan. It features Zhu Zhu (making her Bollywood film debut) Matin Rey Tangu Om Puri and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in supporting roles in addition to Salman Khan and Sohail Khan in the lead roles.
