His participation in age-group cricket for Uttar Pradesh launched his cricketing journey. Dayal made his senior cricket debut in 2018 when he made his debut for Uttar Pradesh in List A cricket. He moved quickly into the state team's first-class arena shortly after that. In the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he made his T20 cricket debut in February 2019 against Maharashtra.
Indian T20 League franchises paid close attention to him at the 2022 auction because of his skill in the T20 format. Dayal proved his mettle by taking nine wickets in eleven games to help Gujarat win the title, earning a position with the newly formed squad for the 2022 campaign. His career took an unexpected turn during a match against Kolkata, where he found himself defending 29 runs in the final over. He was retained for the 2023 season. Gujarat suffered a devastating defeat as a result of Rinku Singh's assault, which saw him smash five straight sixes, despite his best efforts. Dayal then made few more appearances and finished the competition with just two wickets.
Following Dayal's release from Gujarat, Bengaluru signed him before the 2024 Indian T20 League season. The left-arm pacer is ready to make a big impression in the next edition, determined to forget about the disappointments of the last one.
