The lanky Vineet was introduced to his team when Himesh Reshammiya noticed his talent. Vineet's voice during the show left everyone in awe. Despite his best efforts Vineet ended up finishing second in the competition and Debojit Sah took home the trophy in the grand finale.

Vineet didn't win the competition but his fame increased nonetheless. Vineet had a hand on his head from his mentor Himesh Reshammiya. Vineet was able to continue because of Himesh's help and talent. Vineet began receiving opportunities to sing in live performances and motion pictures. Vineet Singh then used songs like Hookah Bar and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo to further disseminate the enchantment of his voice.

Vineet Singh claims in an interview that Saregamapa drastically altered his life. There was a sizable crowd waiting to meet him. He was no longer able to meet with or speak to the family because of how busy he had become. Vineet claims that I began to compare myself to Shahrukh Khan. Vineet believed that although he had previously done his work by others the moment had come for him to do things on his own. This was the beginning of Vineet's negative phase. He declined a lot of offers because he thought they were too small. Maybe Vineet wasn't aware at the moment that this would weigh heavily on him in the future.

Vineet who was formerly a part of the glittering world claims that I have been in lockdown for a while. He had made plans to return to Lucknow even after selling his Mumbai home. He called his mother to let her know he was coming back before leaving for home. During this time Vineet decided to stage another return after something happened on the phone.

Vineet claims that his mother reportedly replied I think you are alive when you have a microphone in your hand. I won't be able to see you in this since you're planning to stop playing music today. Vineet was profoundly impacted by his mother's words and he has since returned to the Indian Idol stage to further his career.
