Yaariyan is a 2014 Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic film with Himansh Kohli Rakul Preet Singh and Nicole Faria in the lead roles. The major actors and the director both made their Hindi film debuts. Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar produced the movie under the auspices of T-Series Super Cassettes Industries. 

The distributor released the movie two weeks sooner than anticipated as a result of the feedback on the YouTube promotional content. The movie premiered on January 10 2014 in India on 1200 screens. Despite receiving unfavorable reviews from critics the movie was a box office hit earning 550 million dollars against its $100 million budget. 

The filming started in Mumbai and continued in Sikkim and Darjeeling. The movie was filmed in Darjeeling at St. Joseph's School. A portion of the movie was also filmed in Cape Town. Shots for Song Sunny Sunny were made in Cape Town's Bo-Kaap neighborhood.

Vikas Verma's Movie Mom (2017)

The criminal thriller Mom which was released in 2017 and is in the Hindi language was written and directed by Girish Kohli. Sridevi plays a vigilante who vows to exact revenge on her stepdaughter after she is sexually raped at a party in the movie. Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui from Pakistan appear in supporting roles along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui Akshaye Khanna and Akshaye Khanna. A. R. Rahman wrote and created the soundtrack for the movie.

Mom which was released on July 7 2017 in four languages became an international box office sensation earning 175.7 crores (US$22 million). The movie received overwhelmingly excellent reviews from critics and Sridevi received praise for her powerhouse performance. It was Sridevi's 300th and last significant film role before she passed away on February 24 2018.

At the 65th National Film Awards Mom won two prizes: best background score and best actress (Sridevi) the first posthumous victory in the category (Rahman). The movie which stars Varun Dhawan Sara Ali Khan and Paresh Rawal is a remake of the 1995 movie of the same name which was itself a remake of the 1993 Tamil movie Chinna Mapillai. Jeffrey Rozario a wealthy businessman insults a matchmaker and he swears to get even. In order to marry off a porter to Rozario's daughter he has him pose as a wealthy man.

On August 8th 2019 principal photography commenced in Bangkok.The movie was originally scheduled to open in theaters in India on May 1 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic forced a postponement. Later it was made available on Amazon Prime Video on December 25th just in time for Christmas. The movie received generally unfavorable reviews and was derided by both critics and viewers.

Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani is a historical drama from India called Jhansi Ki Rani that is based on the life of Lakshmi Bai the Rani of Jhansi. Jitendra Srivastava directed the show which Rajesh Saksham Ila Dutta Bedi Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi wrote the script for. Ulka Gupta played child queen Lakshmi Bai in the August 18 Zee TV premiere. 

After the plot advanced by several years on June 8 2010 Kratika Sengar assumed the role of the Queen. On June 19 2011 the 480th and last episode of the show aired.
