Pradeep Gawande obtained an All India Rank of 478 in the 2012 UPSC Civil Services Exams making him an IAS officer of the 2013 batch. He has the roll number 442735. Doctor Pradeep is an MBBS. After being chosen for the Rajasthan cadre in 2013 he passed the civil services examination. He was soon dispatched to Bundi for assistant collector training.

He served as SDM in Dholpur and Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Chemical Fertilizers in 2015. He served as the Jodhpur Zilla Parishad's CEO from November 2016 until May 2018. He was the CEO of the Bikaner Municipal Council from April 2018 to February 2020. 

On July 2 2020 he began his employment as the Churu Collector which he held until January 6 2021. He served as the MD of RSLDC from January 4 to October 2021. He was appointed Director of Archeology & Museums in Rajasthan India in March 2022.

Pradeep Gawande made headlines in 2021 due to a bribery investigation. Rahul Kumar Garg the manager of the Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation (RSLDC) and Ashok Sangwan the coordinator were the targets of three teams from the Anti-Corruption Bureau in the cities of Jaipur and Jodhpur. The Anti-Corruption Bureau detained these two when they were taking an Rs. 5 lakh bribe. 

At this time Pradeep Gawande was the Chief Manager of RSLDC and his name was connected to the bribery case. Pradeep Gawande ran out of answers during the probe according to ACB Director-General BL Soni who said as much during a press conference.
