Payal Rohtagi and Sangram Singh met during the season of Big Boss. Both the wrestler and the actress took part in Bigg Boss during different seasons. So how did they wind up meeting? 

Sangram stopped his car and asked if he could help me while I was literally in a mess on the Delhi-Agra highway. This was our first encounter. Even though we exchanged phone numbers we never spoke on the phone. 

However a connection was made when we first met on the Star Plus reality series Survivor India. The couple lived together. Three years after starting to date. When Payal entered the house to meet Sangram as part of an assignment for Bigg Boss Season 7 the couple made their first public confession. Soon later the two made their engagement public. On February 27 2014 the pair got engaged during a ceremony in Payal's birthplace of Ahmedabad.

In the most recent episode Rohatgi revealed something about her personal life. She admitted that she is infertile and therefore unable to bear children. The actress went on to say that she even advised Sangram Singh her partner to wed someone else who could bear his children. She claimed that she had also tried IVF but it had failed for her.

OMG! (2018)

Payal Rohatgi asserted that the 2018 Kerala floods were the result of God's wrath following cow slaughter. Her comments were criticised as insensitive and she received trolling on Twitter as a result.

Banned from Twitter (2019)

She received a week-long Twitter ban for communalizing the 2019 gang rape in Hyderabad. The Mumbai police's Twitter account initially blocked Rohatgi in 2019 but then unblocked her after Amruta Fadnavis the wife of the chief minister expressed support for her. 

Shivaji Maharaj Caste Comment (2019)

In June 2019 Rohatgi asserted that Shivaji the Maratha king was born into the shudra varna and eventually rose via the caste system. Jitendra Awhad the leader of the NCP filed a complaint against her in Mumbai and demanded her detention as a result of her comments. She apologised in a video on Twitter.

She was detained by Ahmedabad's Bundi Police on December 15 as a result of her comments on the Nehru-Gandhi family. Later she was detained. The court placed her in judicial detention on December 16 and held her there for nine days until December 24. She received a bail release on December 17th.

Sati Ritual Comment (2019)

In August 2019 a police complaint about her comments were made at the Oshiwara police station. Raja Ram Mohan Roy an Indian social reformer active in the 19th century was similarly criticised by Rohatgi as a traitor and British lackey and charged with defaming the Sati ritual.
