The program debuted on &TV on June 6 2015 ran for three seasons and three winners Pawandeep Rajan Farhan Sabir and Sumit Saini were selected.

Pawandeep in legeal Trouble

According to the legal note M/s Octopus Entertainment Pvt Ltd. contacted the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association and informed them that M/s Sony Pictures Network India Private Limited had entered into an agreement with them for the provision of services for Pawandeep and Arunita the winners of Indian Idol 2021 who had been signed by their members for a 20-song live album.

Sony had promised to give services to both artists and the commitment was made before they became the champions of Indian Idol the agreement states. At significant expenditure one of its members held a press conference to advertise the album's release but the performers refused to work with the producer after recording one song.

Despite Sony's commitment both Arunita and then Pawandeep quit working with the producer throughout the recording of the songs as well as for their promotion and release.
